Hi guys, new here. Wanted to start off with a bang!

So anyways, some background.......Got an Orange Rocker 30 combo and an Orange 4x12 cab which I'm looking to replace speakers on.

My problem is the infamous V30 mid spike. Plus my 4x12 speakers probably need to be broken in more. I want to trade out 2 speakers in the 4x12. The V30's are a bit harsh with kind of a hard sound and not very smooth or saturated. What I want is 2 speakers that have more saturation. The Rocker has lots of gain and the combo speaker can get nice and saturated (but not QUITE as saturated as I want it to be. It's probably more broken in) and that's what I want with the 2 speakers I want to put in there. Nice smooth saturation and not overly bright like the V30's. Just slightly less bright then the V30's to compensate.

I had been looking at the Reaper HP and the ET65 but you guys might know better.

Suggestions???

Daniel is our resident Orange expert ... but I think I can answer this one with good certainty ...

A pair of Green Berets sounds EXACTLY perfect for you :-)

Interesting. What if I wanted to put a Green Beret into my Rocker 30 combo? Would I have to move up to the ET65?

Probly would need to "move up to the ET65" ... or better yet, an Invader.
