Hey Vaughn, I've watched your shootout of the Super Sonic 22 Twice and think you did a great comparison.  I have to say I liked the ET90 the most.  I want mostly clean headroom and that speaker seemed to kill it!  Question, what would you think of running that in my amp with a 15" in a cab sitting underneath it?  Alnico worth the extra money?  Seems the 15" would add some nice girth.  Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hummm .... not sure ... The cab would need to be properly sized to the 15 to truly reach it's potential ... which would be fairly big.  I think I'd rather have it on top of a traditional big-box (Marshall 1936 sized) 2x12...  But, well ... just not sure ...

If ya give it a try, be sure to post your results here!

Thanks for answering Vaughn.  That makes sense.  Does WGS have a cab size requirement for the 15" figured out?  I was planning on building a cab to match the Supersonic in width and figured I'd look into how big to make the rest of it, but I could make it any size.   I was going to match the Tolex and grill cloth to the my amp as  well as best I could.  If I did go with a 1936 size and 2X12, what would you recommend for the two speakers to go with the ET90 in the combo?  The Reaper and a Retro 30 maybe?

Thanks, Larry

I was going to build it as a closed with the option of taking of back panels to try open.  The supersonic is 24" wide, so was planning on starting with that.

Okay, here's my best shot at a solid suggestion...

Go with your 22" wide by 20" tall by 10.5" deep, and do the back in 3 equal panels, and I just bet you will love the sound of 1/3-open with the center panel removed ... a favorite of mine since I discovered it.
