Hey all,

I have a Mesa Mark V:25 on order and already have a Bogner Uberkab.  I've tried to sell the cabinet to get something that is 8 ohms (although I know I can safely run the 16 ohm cab with the Mark V:25).  Now I'm considering removing the speakers from the cabinet and using 8 ohm speakers.

I know the Retro 30 and Veteran 30 will probably be no-brainers for this but I was wondering if anyone has found other good alternatives for use with a Mark.

I'm inclined towards warmer, darker tones.  I hate too much presence, treble etc.  I understand in a mix, darker and warmer may get lost but I can always adjust EQ for that.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

Dude ... that's the ET-65!  Go for it & don't look back ... you'll be happy you did!

Thanks for the response.  I'll consider those combined with a Veterans or Retros.

Ah, I have another question:  My plans would be to put these in a Bogner Uberkab which is front-loaded.  Any concerns about putting in a pair of ET65s and Retro 30s in a front-loaded cab?

Thanks.
