Just got a heck of a deal on a late 70's Musicmaster that's been all but turned around to make a great guitar amp (fuse, 3 prong chord added, tone stack & input mods, put into a nice pine cab.)
The only thing that remains of the original is the ratty old stock speaker. It's has a great sparkling bite at low volumes but cannot take any low end about 5 on the dial and cannot take a boost pedal of any type. I mainly plan to use this for home and recording, but wouldn't mind something more efficient to maybe take it to a gigging level.
In case it's unknown, this is a 12w, 6V6 1x12 combo with only 1 volume, 1 tone knob, and bright and normal inputs.
While I'm sure a Black & Blue would be nearly perfect, it's out of my current price range. So, what should I be looking at? ET-65, Reaper, Green Beret?
Thanks.

Check it out ... should be very helpful to you!
Overall, I'm going to say the three you list would be my three suggestions, too! :-)
Please come back and post your results here!
That was actually perfect! Granted, hearing them in person will be different, but that video did an EXCELLENT job of showcasing the character of each speaker. I had a feeling it would come down to the ET-65 & the Reaper, and I'll be darned if you didn't come to the same conclusion. That little bit of extra sparkle that the Reaper has is quite nice, but man, the 65 is so smooth.
Will be purchasing one or the other within the next week or so, I'll let you know how that goes once it's in the amp. Thanks again for the video, exactly what I was looking for.
