Many years ago I picked up a Fender Power Chorus, mostly because it was loud.  As an added benefit, it has the most amazing clean channel and gorgeous stereo chorus on the planet. Of course at the time all I cared about was LOUD. Fast forward 20 odd years and I now find myself in posession of TWO of the things, after looking for about 10 years.  The downside is that neither has decent speakers in it.  If I have to replace the speakers anyway, why not upgrade a tad?  So, what I am looking for is recreating that crisp, transparent clean tone.  If I can cheat a little and get my thrash on and play a little "Tornado of Souls" and get in the ball park of a good thrash tone with a spaker, so much the better.  I am NOT expecting this thing to sound like a JCM 900 or Mesa Triple Rec. It is what it is and I love that, but if I can nudge it a bit that way? All the better.

The amp requires 8 ohms per speaker and runs 65 watts a channel, one to each speaker.

Man ... personally, I'd go with ET-65s ... to add a little organic goodness to that solid-state gal.

Another great option would be ET90s ... same sound, only a bit stiffer and more brazen (less organic).
