Hello,

I've replacet the stock speaker of my Peavey Classic 30 for a Reaper 55hz. The stock speaker was too Bright, icepick as you will. The Reaper 55hz on the other hand, I find it's sound too dark. I'm missing some clarity. I've read all the other topics about speakers for a C 30, and the topics of the Veteran, Reaper, and ET65.

What would be a good choise to find a speaker that's in between dull and icepick?

I'm playing a Les Paul and mainly classic rock. The C30 is running on el84's which I've read, also makes  a difference. Bright of it's own, Veteran not an option?

Any sugestions would be more than welcome.

Yea, the 55Hz cones are seldom (if ever) my choice in a 1x12!

As for my first choice ... probably the ET65.
