I'm looking to swap out the noiseless pickups in my 2006 American deluxe telecaster. I'm not a fan of the neck pickup because it lacks clarity, definition, and feels stale. The bridge sounds good in the higher gain range but I don't like the clean tones. My band mostly covers classic country and classic rock. I also like to play the blues and dig in with some occasional high gain. I need versatility. Which pickups would you suggest?

Yea ... I hear ya!  I haven't heard the word "stale" to describe them, but I like it ... I usually call them "sterile" ...

Anyway,  The Vaughn's Velvet Tele set is certainly the solution for you!
