I recently aquired an old Crate VC 2012 combo and it looks like I may need to swap the speaker. Ive got it in for service and the tech said he could tell it was not the original speaker and it may be the wrong Ohm's for the amp. I mostly play old school country and am looking for strong clear cleans ( think Buck and Don) and maybe a little dirt when pushed(think Clarence and the Byrds). Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance!

If you want VERY bright blackface Fender tone, then a G12C.

If you want a great balanced tone, ET65!
