Hello , which speaker would be good alternative for ET-90 in open back combo with bold and warm tone ? i'm thinking about big magnet so the choices are limited to Reaper HP , Retro and Veteran. ET-90 is great , i need second one for a bit of variety .The only thing i would like to avoid is too much of higher frequencies.Just the same amount of high end like ET-90.

I too am curious. I have an et90 in a 1x12 and want to fill my other 1x12 with another speaker.

I want the same bold punchy sound, volume level, but with more lower-mids, warmth, and a bit less top end as the et90 does.

Which speaker fits this description?

Man ... that is the ET65 ... for SURE!!!

If you want to stick with a heavy magnet, then I'd go Reaper HP. (original poster)

Thanks, does the et65 keep up with the et90 volume wise?

Thanks for your answers Vaughn.

I'm still stuck though.. maybe a sound clip will help you know what I am after.

Any suggestions based off that?

I feel like the et90 helped me get closer to this tone, but I am thinking largly due to the headroom it has.

The et90 was painfully bright at first, once it started breaking in, I've been loving it.

Hows the et65s headroom compare? Or should I be looking at a big magnet?
