Hello,

I recently got a pair of G10C's that I am trying to install in a Tremolux speaker cabinet, but the bolts are there for all eight mounting holes and the speakers only come with four holes in the surround. I tried, at the suggestion of a friend, to just push them through, but that didn't work. My next plan was to drill holes, but that didn't work. All it did was make a bit of a mess and cause the seam in the surround to lift up, separating like it's comprised of many layers of very thin foam (which I guess it is).

I don't want to damage the speaker surrounds further nor do I want to cut off the speaker mounting bolts. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Richard

Wow ... that sucks ... and it's downright weird!  All WGS speakers have had 8 mounting holes for about three years now ... did you get them used?

At any rate ... someone with a proper drill-press and a proper bit should have no problem adding the holes ... I've done it many times.  Maybe look for a local machine shop ... and be careful not to let metal shavings get caught anywhere in the speakers workings!
