One of my original alnico high power speakers has blown in my MM 2x12 HD 130 combo amp....short of getting it re-coned (they both probably need it)...what speaker(s) would you recommend for this amp?  ET65?  Retro 30?

Thanks, appreciate any input....

ET-90 and a Retro 30 maybe??

I only have limited experience with tose ... but ... here's what I recollect ... They are stupidly high-power with clean headroom for days ... and are very stiff and a bit sterile sounding.  This about your take?  If so ... then go with a pair of ET65's!

How about a pair of ET-90's?

If you want to bring more organic warmth and complexity ... stick to the ET65s.  The 90's are more solid and in your face ... plus a few pounds heavier.
