Simple question here from a first time installer. When I went to install my new Vet-30 and ET-65 into my Peavey Classic 50, I had to puncture the small bit of paper that extends past the mounting holes on the speaker frame. Is there a way around doing this because it didn't appear that I had any other option in order to bolt the speaker in? Does this damage the speaker or potentially create any problems with the sound? Perhaps I'm worrying over nothing, but would like to know for sure. IF this is correct, and I've installed it properly- then I'd be curious what the purpose of this overlap is? Thanks for the help/info!
It's all good! You did it right...
