Hi, i have a amp i use at practice that is a 1x12 open back 50 watt tube combo amp(a crate vinatagefx with some modifications) and want to upgrade the speaker.  The speaker sounds very papery or thin and i know it has alot to do with it being a open back and a 1x12  but i thought a speaker upgrade would help.  i believe it has a celestion 70/80 speaker in it but its one of those speakers that just says the ohms and the word crate on the back, which is why i want the new speaker.  obviously a 1x12 has a less full sound than a 2x12 or a 4x12 but i want something that is going to make this thing sound as full as possible.  I play a dirty kinda 80's metal tone.  I try to get it as close to my vintage channel on my dual rec as possible.  I like the celestion vintage 30's in my dual rec 4x12 but i wasnt sure how the vetren compaired, or if there was another suggestion that would fill up the sound and the low end even more. veteran, retro, reaper?..any ideas?
