Just got a Laney Cub 12R combo amp. Pretty simple amp, 15 watts, 12" speaker, EL84 power tubes. The stock speaker is a Celestion Rocket 50 ( G12E-50 ), a bottom line Celestion, no doubt. So I'm looking for a WGS 12" speaker that will bring out the best of this little amp. I geneally like the woody, overdriven tone of a GM12. The amp is bright enough, I don't need a bright speaker. The stock speaker handles the bass merely okay, not great. I do prefer a speaker that's mid forward and that exhibits lots of harmonic content. Any recommendations?
