Thanks for all info. The one amp I've played alot, locally is the Cub 8. Great clean sound. I've seen demo's on utube were the G8 was put in a vintage Fender Champ. What a differance. I have a cub 8 coming this week. 8 inch celestion 8 ohm is the stock speaker. Do think the 8 ohm G8 could as radical difference in the Laney Cub 8 as it did in the Champ demos ? I hope so. Thanks again for your feedback. I think I will try the G8. If you get a chance, to the demos on u tube in the champ. It transforms that amp. I would regret if I didn't try it in the Laney. Andy
