Hi All,

Right now I have a Forte-style side-ported 1X12 cab with a coffee-can SRO under a 50-watt Dumble-style 2nd gen hybrid.  The plan is to move the SRO to a yet-to-be-built roomy 1X12 oval-port cab and find a new speaker for the ported box.  The SRO is a superb speaker but I think it handles the cleans better than the OD and I need a little (very little) more break-up.

I'm looking at the ET90 or the Retro 30.  I have or have had at least a dozen WGS speakers so I know the line but have never owned those two.  All of the Warehouse speakers I've had were in open-backed cabs so my point-of-reference stops there.  I like the Invader in a 32-watt combo but am worried that that speaker couldn't handle the wattage if I only take one cab.

If anyone has some ported-back experience with the WGS line, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Thanks, Skip

PS -- not overfond of the EVM12L -- especially with the SRO, so I 'd like to consider those variants last.  A pressed-frame ceramic speaker is fine but a bit cleaner and without a wicked 4k hump.  Weight doesn't matter.  Anything will be lighter than the SRO.  sh
