Hey,

I'm putting together a 2x12 to use with a 1980 JCM800 50watt head. I'm after that post-punk sound, like Mission of Burma, Wire, etc... and play a lot of noise/fuzz as well (think Sonic Youth).

I'm having trouble choosing between the ET65, Invader, and Vet30 - also open to other suggestions.

What's drawing my towards the ET65 is that I can find my current setup sometimes a bit harsh on the high end, so taming that a bit would be great.. but obviously still need to cut through live and recorded.

I would consider mixing speakers, but that poses an issue in many of the places I play where the sound guy only mics one of the speakers.

Thanks for any advice.

... so be sure to use the search box in the upper left ...

ET65 sounds good ... or ET90's for more balls

"poses an issue in many of the places I play where the sound guy only mics one of the speakers. " ... good point, so stick with 2 of the same.
