I have a Goodsell Custom 33 and my friend has a Goodsell Super Seventeen. He uses a G15A with his amp and it sounds fantastic. I've used a pair of ET-65s and a 30 watt Reaper/ Weber Blue Dog ceramic mix but neither sound nearly as good as the G15A. I want a 12" version alnico speaker that is most similiar to the G15A. Would I get close with a G12A or would one of the Blackhawk speakers be a better fit? Looking at the tone cart I'm worried that the G12A might be too bright.

A GOOD question for sure! I LOVE Richard's amps ... and I have spent time with all those speakers ... and yes, you are on the right track! The closest tone to the G15A ... but in a 12' ... would be a Blackhawk 12 (Not HP). You are correct, the G12A is quite a bit brighter!
