I am considering pairing a WGS G12C/S with an ET65 in my 1971 Fender Twin Reverb amp. Both speakers come highly recommended. I couldn't decide between them so I want to try them together. I know the G12C/S is 75 watts while the ET65 is 65 watts. Will this cause any problems? How do these two pair together? I want clean Amerian vintage tone and British crunch when I kick on my overdrive pedals. Thanks.

Wow ... seems like it could be a cool idea ... especially for the later master-volume ultra-linear Twins ...

but ... I've never tried it!  It would most certainly be a VERY warm & Wooly combination ... which is what many Twin users are looking for!

Pretty sure I have a thread here somewhere...I did this in my higher-wattage UL (solid stae rectifier) 1981 Pro Reverb a few years ago and gigged with this amp for something like 3 years. It is a GREAT combo and gives the option of micing two slightly different sounds depending on the situation. I highly recommend it.

Im also thinking about this combination for my 74 twin that was blackface - modded. Since one of the original Oxford's crapped out on me. Looking forward to any more info on the topic.
