Traynor YRM-1SC reverb master built (I think) 1977.
Very powerful 50 watt amp with two 6CA7/EL34 power tubes, four 12AX7 in the preamp and also 6BQ5/EL84 which I think is for the reverb or tremolo.
Reverb, tremolo and master volume.
Four ten inch speakers of unknown origin. Could be Marsland, RSC or OEM Eminence, I don't know.
The kind of music I use it for our Stones/Faces/Black Crowes/AC/DC/Clifton Chenier etc. coverband. Don't use any metalsounds at all. Use it with boost/overdrive/distortion pedals of good quality but also without any pedals sometimes.
Current speakers to muffled and "farty".
Any suggestions for new speakers? I'm willing to mix different models.
Best regards

Hummm ... sounds like a cool amp ... but one I've never heard!
I'll start with: I always love a quad of Vet 10's in that type of amp ....
After that, I will also mention that a Quad of G10 (A or C ... but not the smooth-cone) also sound excellent ... but make the amp very loud and heavy ... but a great choice if you want tons of clean headroom and HUGE bottom.
Or, go with a pair of Vets over a pair of G10s ... but be warned, the G10's will be a lot louder than the vets.
I'd say just try the Vets (they're stupidly affordable) ... and if you find yourself wanting a little more clean headroom or bottom ... add in one, or two G10s to the mix.
Thanks for your answer!
I don't know much about amps but I'll think it supposed to be like a Traynor YBA-1 but with reverb and tremolo. And a YBA is supposed to be like an old Bassman or? I read on another forum that it's like a "Blackface circuit", I don't know.
I problably go for the Vets but what do you think about Green Berets in this amp?

This is awesome, I have this exact same amp and am also looking for replacement speakers too. I've only ever seen one other one.

I've got two of 'em, plus a head :)
I went with Eminence Legend 102 35W Alnicos - mostly for price reasons. I'm pretty happy with them though.
