Just wanted to praise Vaughn's Velvet Tele pickups, I play 6-7 nights a week in Nashville and never fail to get compliments on my tone.
How do the Vaughn's Velvet Strat pickups compare?

I'm in the exact same spot. Love my Vaughn's Velvet Tele and thinking about the Strat set.

Thanks for the Tele Props! As for the VV Strat set ... the goal was basically the same:
-Keep the tone solidly in the classic Strat category.
-Removing "ice-pick" highs in the 2-4K range while keeping the chimey, sparkly Strat goodness.
-Calibrate the set better to perform better in ALL FIVE switch positions.

But ... there ARE some fundamental differences between Strat & Tele guitar designs ... so it's not going to make a Strat sound like a Tele :-)
