Posted recently about speakers for a Blackstar HT-40 (not new version). I am looking for a speaker that will help provides tones for classic/hard rock like Jet, ACDC, GnR, Motley Crue, Van Halen, but also grunge stuff like Alice in Chains. Also like playing some hair metal type stuff. I would categorize the Blackstar as a darker sounding amp, but with so many speakers and little experience with swapping speakers I don't really no which speaker will give me the sound I am after. For a while I thought the Retro 30 would be perfect, but have seen some comments that have made me skeptical and start to consider the Invader 50, HM75, and ET65. Right now the amp has a celestion 70/80 in it which I feel just limits the amp so much. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
