Vaughn,

I have a Matchless Lightning Reverb (15 watt amplifier) that I also use with external speaker cabinets.

I am interested in a new WGS speaker for a stand alone 1x12 open back cabinet and two WGS speakers for a stand alone 2x12 open back cabinet.

Which WGS speaker would you suggest for the 1x12 cabinet?

Which WGS speaker would you suggest for the 2x12 cabinet?

Many thanks.

Intended use for the amp and respective cabs, please? I understand the the Matchless Lightning is a Vox-ish amp, so question is whether you want to go all chime or try to balance this out slightly. Perhaps going w. the 2x12 for cleans and the 1x12 for dirt?

1x12: Easy! Blackhawk (not HP) it is everything a Celestion Gold is & more. Also, sounds better than the Black-n-Blue, plus can take 50-watts RMS power if you decide to move it to a higher power amp! That's Gods speaker, and it's my first choice for my own combos with 2-6V6 or 2-EL84's. (www.VaughnSkow.com)

2x12: I'm assuming you're going for something DIFFERENT from the 1x12 ... so, go with the ET65/Ret 30 combi ... always a fantastic choice in all situations :-)
