Hello, I'm thinking about buying a Blues Junior 3 for a practice amp, and as we know, the BJ amps don't sound that great with the stock lightning bolt Eminence speaker. I don't use effects boxes, as I feel that they interfere with the natural goodness of my pickups (Lollar Vintage T in my Tele, Vintage Vibe in my Strat, and Fralin p90s in my Epi 335. Pickups for all three guitars have stock winding and are all touch sensitive. I like a clean rhythm sound, and for soloing I turn the guitar volume up all the way to get that sweet over-drive from the pickups and the amp. It's hard to really tell what a speaker sounds like just from listening to a sound sample on a website, but I must say that going from what I've heard the G12C/S might be a good choice for me.
Any thoughts ?
Thanks!

Maybe ... The G12C/S will certainly make the amp a LOT warmer ... almost "tweed" era warm. If that's your thing, go for it!
My general recommendation, is always the ET65 ... it'll also warm it up, but retain more blackface era top end.

Oh ... and stick with a medium magnet speaker ... the heavy (big) magnets like a Reaper end up pressed right against the EL84's in a Blues Jr!
