I sent an mail but I saw this forum so decided to post as well.

I have a Vox AC15C1 and a DRRI 65.  I'd like to replace my DRRI 65 stock Jensen C12K speaker with something that does not sound like my Vox, but has these characteristics:

Clean sound - bright, crisp, aggressive attack if needed, but rich, not ice picky

Dirty - remains tight in rythym and leads

Tone - modern (vs. vinatge)

I have seen lots of love for the ET65 & 90, I am wondering if those are the speakers that meet my needs, or are there other options too?

Hi from a fellow Canadian...

For what its worth, I replaced the stock Jensen in my DRRI. It was way to bright and hard for my tastes. (actually stuck it in a Blues Jr and it sounded decent there). I have used a certain Rex speaker in the DRRI on and off, and enjoyed it a lot, but when I put the WGS ET-65 in and played the first chord, all I could say was, "Wow!" Big sound, clarity, and all the frequencies behaved themselves. If you are looking for brash or hard, go somewhere else, but for me, the ET-65 nails it. Plus, I have always leaned towards American clean and was a bit worried about the "British" flavour thing... the 65 is not too Brit at all, lovely speaker indeed.
