Hughes Kettner Grandmeister 40 used primarily on 1-5 watts occasionally on 20 watts. Feeding two TM112 vented cabs. Already have replaced one V30 with alnico Creamback. Which WGS to replace other V30 and most importantly will compliment the alnico cream best? The 65? Veteran 30? Also where should the WGS live? Top or bottom cab? Thanks

Combining speakers presents the issue of cone resonance phase-cancellations, which can produce unexpected results. My belief is combining something with a wide soft dust cap is a safer bet. I doubt you can go wrong with an ET65, but you might not hear much difference when combined other than a slight mid bass and ~4.7kHz reduction. Nothing wrong with that, but unremarkable. From the SPL graph, the AlNiCo Cream back looks essentially like a Heritage G12M cone with a different magnet and tighter suspension. G12M types are generally great combined with G12H types. If it's still available, I'd look into the Reaper 55Hz for some deep bass punch/bloom and that great upper-mid grit, but I'm old school like that. A lower watt speaker usually sounds more dynamic when driven by a low power amp, but the ET65, Vet 30 or Retro 30 may be exceptions to that rule.
