I have a new ES-335 style kit on order. I suspect that after I get it together and try out the "medium" quality pickups that come in the kit, I will be looking for an upgrade. My question is which humbucker set to get for it? Should I go with the 1957's or with the 1959/60's? I like to noodle around with a little of everything. That is blues, rock, classical, folk, ragtime, Christmas carols, and western. I don't and won't play in a band due to my lack of talent. But, I do appreciate nice tones even when they are muffed and out of time!

Sorry I missed this question!! Soooo ...

Absolutely I'd go with the Historic 1957 set ... pure magic in those semi-hollow designs.

Thanks, Vaughn.

And, if I ever pull the trigger on upgrading the GS, the Zebras are at the top of my list.

We can do the Historic 57's in Zebra ... just be sure to put that request in the "notes" field with the order :-)
