Hi all,

I'm am fortunate enough to have come into posession of a Marshall JMP50 smallbox plexi from 1971. Since I'm planning on gigging with it I'm not looking forward to walking around with a heavy 4x12 so I'm thinking of building myself a nice 2x12.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about wgs but due to the extensive product offerings I'm not so sure on which speakers to select. I'm thinking of putting in 2 different speakers for a larger sonic 'palette'. I play anything from clean to classic rock and some heavy fuzz tones. So far I'm looking at the reaper 55h with an et 65.

Any ideas or tips are glady appreciated.

Kind regards,

PJ

Cool!!

The Reaper 55/ ET65 combo is good ... but would be VERY big, juicy and warm ... enough that some might say it's lacking in top-end.  (Although it might be PERFECT ... as I find the JMP's to be a little too bitey on top)

A always great option with a vintage Marshall is the ET65/Veteran 30 combo ... which covers ALL sonic territory well.
