I recently picked up a Gemini G-20. Think of it as a Vibrolux with Ampeg flavor- 35w, 6l6 powered, 2x10 combo. I've been looking through speakers here and trying to decide what to put in it.

- I like the idea of mismatched speakers, especially for adding a 3D-esque quality to my tone.

- I'm not a purist, so the speakers don't have to be close to the original.

- That being said, I do love the base sound of the amp, so I don't want to completely change that, either!

- I love the Ampeg's big cleans and sparkle, as well as the huge bottom end and grind it gets when pushed.

- I play an Epiphone Sheraton and custom built Jazzmaster, use OD and Fuzz. Soundwise, I like anything from Radiohead to Alice in Chains to tighter modern rock.

What speaker pair would suit me best? The G10c, G10cs, ET10 and Retro 10 are all on my radar.

Thanks!

Go for a G10C and a G10C/S ... but be prepared, it'll also make it a louder amp.  If you DON'T want it loud, then go with a Vet 10 and a ET10.

Vaughn-

Thanks for your reply!

Loud I can deal with :) I used to play an Ampeg V2! Hahaha. Thanks for the recommendation. Pairing up the different G10s sounds like a good call.
