Hello,
I'm looking to get a new speaker for my Traynor YCV20WR. Just had it retubed with a max clean headroom set of JJs from Eurotubes (highly recommended). Breathed new life into the amp, sounds great.
I'm finding the stock Celestion Greenback a bit lacking in the low end. Its kinda loose. I'm looking for a tighter low end, with higher efficiency than the greenback. I play a lot of rock and hardrock, using pedals up front for my distortion.
any suggestions?
Man ... I think in your case I would suggest the Retro 30. It'll add a solid bottom end, more clean headroom ... and a good bit of top sparkle, which you can roll-off with your treble control if it's too much!
