I would like to thank Trevor & Wayne for their time. After an email and a phone chat I decided to pair these 2 speakers in my 76 vibrolux. After 2 weeks I can say I will not be returning them. They sound great together. I have more low end then ever, they stay crisp with overdrive and fuzz. Yet they retain a nice sparkling clean tone as well. Also thank you to Vaughn for some pretty accurate videos. I'm also digging the orange basket on the g10
Can you describe the differences of the two speakers? I just posted a question regarding these two speakers, but I can only use one of them. Thanks!
Cool ... I have a "garage fresh" '67 Vibrolux Reverb Amp myself that I'll be thinking about a speaker upgrade in soon. I like the orange because it IS the famous color of the Fender/JBL speakers of the late 60s-early 80's!
Differences:
The ET10 is fairly warm/dark ... but still retains a good bit of top-end sparkle.
The G10C/S is VERY fat/warm ... with a VERY subdued top-end
Have never been a real fan of 10's but loved my little 1990's Boogie Subway Rocket tones through a cab.
I'm running a ET 90 12 in my 25 watt Zinky Blue Velvet combo and really like the tones in that amp so tried the ET 10 in the little Rocket.
It tured a good amp into a great one THANKS guys!!
Check this out running my 2007 PRS Custom 24 through the little Boogie loaded with the ET 10 on stage at my Church last sunday. The only effects are a Boss DD6 and a Supernatural verb.
