Hey all,
Thinking of pairing 2x ET65's with 2x G12C/S's in a 4x12.
Right now, I'm using Mesa Boogie V30's, which are known to be darker and smoother than Celestion V30's (not sure were they compare with Vet 30's). I'm using this 4x12 as the dry in a w/d/w setup, the wet cabs are 2x12's with ET65's and Vet30's.
The amp is a Naylor SD60, which I believe is voiced with Jensens C12N's in mind, or at least, the Naylor speakers are a take on the C12N's, I guess more comparable to the WGS G12C's.
Wondering what I'd be in for tonal shift-wise, pros/cons, going from MB 30's to the Smooth comes in this setup.
I generally play with a medium amount of gain, not looking for bell like cleans, but not looking for blanket muffiness either.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Yea man ... a very classic Van Halen tone! See:
