I'm looking for a replacement speaker for my USA Blues Jr (unmodded). The first generation Blues Jrs tend to be darker vs the made in mex versions. I'd like to brighten the amp up a tad but I'm not looking for an ice picky high end. Guitars FSR 59 strat and Les Paul 60RI. The strat is my primary guitar.

All suggestions would be appreciated, WGS seems to have a solid rep.

 

Edit : I like Knopfler Mayer SRV tone Pickups on the strat are CS Fat 50's

I just had a reaper hp in (blue jr/limited/brownie) and i thought it sounded epic...big,nice tone to it...Im on to the c12cs and all together mo vintage,reaper a little more modern...fwiw.

"Did switch back to reaper hp...more balanced for me...high end sweeter"

A Reaper is NEVER a bad choice ... but she is a very "full bodied" gal ... and since you state:

That sounds like a Retro 30.
