Hi I have a mid 70's YGM3 20watt El84 amp.  Its closed back combo with a GB128 in there now.  I like to play it dimed and the GB128 bass is flubby and the highs are harsh.  Wondering if the ET -65 would keep up to the extreme bass on this amp.  I have done the parkhead mods to reduce bass / treble with this amp already.  or would the Et-90 with the bigger magnet keep it together better?

Cheers from Canada!

Honestly ... I wouldn't recommend either the ET65 or 90 for that you ...

My feeling is that the Britt Lead is the speaker for you ... given what you've stated here!

Same amp, slightly different application. I'm using this same amp but as a clean pedal platform. I'm looking for volume, full but tight bass, and no icepick. Looking at the ET-90, Reaper 55hz, or maybe the British Lead.

Gotcha!  Mn, I'd say you are right on target with the ET90 ... go for it!
