Hi everyone.

I've just put a ET65 in my DRRI and I've noticed that I can turn the bass up to between 6-8 now without it being overbearing as opposed to 4 with the stock speaker. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm very pleased with the ET65/DRRi combo so far.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post your results here!

Yea, the ET65 in a Deluxe Reverb (re-issue or vintage) is pretty much always a good choice :-)

What changes with the ET65 as opposed to the stock Jensen speaker? The ET65 has more volume, headroom and it's louder?

And what do you think, Vaughn, about an ET90 choice for the DRRI?

Yes to all of this ... but the biggest factor is that is just sounds warmer and MUCH sweeter on the top-end.

As for the Rivera era DR II ... FOR sure the ET65 is the speaker for you (I've had several of the Rivera era amps).
