Have a 2000 Fender ProTube Series ProReverb 1x12 Combo.  Currently has a Jensen C12K 12" speaker.  The Jensen is a bit spikey in the upper mids and flabby in the low end...it's not terrible but not great either.  What suggestions would you have for this amp?  Play mostly blues and classic rock.  Need something that will handle the 50 watt rating, though I never run this amp wide open (normally about half way).  Also, how would an alnico vs ceramic speaker differ in this combo?  Thanks for the help!!Amp Specs:http://ampwares.com/amplifiers/fender-pro-tube-reverb/

I don't know that amp ... but given what it is, and how you describe it ... my gut instinct is ET65 ... always a good Rx for an overly bright Fender 1x12 in need of a nice round bottom!

Let us know your results :-)

Sounds like an interesting amp...

OMG!!!  The ET-65 made the amp simply SCREAM...the Jensen made the amp sound flabby, the WGS ET-65 tightened everything up, got rid of the spikey upper mid and treble I could never dial out, and brought the dirty channel into the realm of massively usable....Have about 10 hours on the speaker now and you can hear that it is breaking in and it just keeps getting better and better....THANKS Vaughn!!!!
