Im looking to add a different speaker with my Retro 30 and thought the Reaper HP may be the one to try with it. Tonewise many of the bands I listen to seem to blend the vintage 30 sound with greenbacks. I play mostly hard rock/alternative (foo fighters, the darkness) and touch on metal (metallica,80's metal). I want some thing to fill out the Retro and add some Greenback type flavor to my 2x12. If the Reaper HP is not a good choice, then why? The ET65 is courted as a great pair to the Retro 30 but it sounds to me like it lacks its own character. Thanks for any responses!

Hi Larsen04, have good luck in the New Year!

In your case I would try the Reaper HP constellation. Me myself I play it with a ET65 in

a cab. It sounds awesome and my opion is exactly for Rocksounds the Reaper HP is more

the way than standard Reaper or else. Hope it helps. Good Luck.

Sure ... but for what you are after ... man, I'd go with an Invader!  Damn those things sound good ... lotsa vint GB urgent snarl ... only better :-)

Ultimatley I went a whole other direction and got a Hm75. I think Ill get a Reaper HP in the future. Im loving the tone Im getting from the Retro and HM75 together. I think this combo should be heralded a little more.
