What is the best (tightest) speaker for dropped tunings?  Specifically drop D and drop B.

British Lead.  Hands down.

Daniel...I have been unable to try my British Lead because I do not have a 1x12 cabinet. I bought one used on Ebay...I have three 2x12 cabs but I really won't get an idea of what this speaker sounds like mixed with another. It is a "Classic Lead"...not a British Lead...It looks good, and has the WGS Sticker on the magnet...and it is supposed to be the same speaker before WGS changed the name. The seller had a great history. I need two to try them out and actually hear what they do...but I have to obtain two of them to hear them. Is the "Classic Lead" the same as the "British Lead"? Or do I need to buy two new British Leads instead of just one?

I sometimes tune the entire guitar to D, then drop the low string to C when I play brutal metal, and a pair of veteran 30s handles it very well. The response is very quick and low end does not get flabby when palm muting.
