Hello,
For long I have been using a Jet City JCA24S which I loaded with a Veteran 30 and a Invader, which suited my needs.
I use quite a bunch of amp heads, in order to achieve different tones I use mainly in my three metal bands :
- Jet City JCA100H 100W, modded to sound more alike a SLO100
- Peavey Classic 50
- Peavey Windsor 100W head
- Krank Krankenstein 50W
I recently bought a Deeflexx H1 Edition, which is an excellent deflector so as to get rid of the beam and to widen the diffusion of my amp. Problem is, you need one for each speaker, and so I am considering to strip everything down to a single speaker cabinet able to handle the power of my guitar heads.
I mainly play different styles of metal, mainly rooted in the 70, 80, early 90s, and I tend to prefer when the guitar places "itself" in the mix, IE emphazying mids, with tight lows and i'm not very found of aggressives highs, though they need to give "bite" to my sound.
I will have a cabinet built by TT Cabs, probably 60x60x30cm (that's 24x24x12") or 60x50x30cm (24x21x12"), in 15mm birch plywood.
I already had a mesa thiele back in the time which I sold because I found it to be a little bit harsh and quite too "neutral" before getting my JCA24S.
So I am considering getting a Blackhawk HP, and I am wondering if this speaker can offer the sound I am looking for... will it suit my playing style ? In case it is not, which speaker would you advise me to get ?
Here are a few extracts of the music I recorded:

Thank you in advance !
The BH HP would sound great ... and can take a lot of abuse ... but given the style (I listened to the youtube vids) ... man, I'd say the extra investment in Alnico might not be worth it...
