I have a Jet City 2212 high gain combo and have had the ET65 and the Veteran 30 in it. I like the openess of the ET65 but I think it sounded a little too polite. The Veteran sounded good on the mids and more aggressive punch but was missing some openess and warmth of the ET65. I play mostly rock but like some country, blues and top 40. I like the modern Marshall sounds but like the cleaner stuff also. Can you recommend me a speaker that has a juicy bottom (small cab) that wont get lost in the mix with the punch of the Veteran. The vet would be perfect if it was more open and had booty!
I know, tall order, probably used to it. :)

Man ... that's exactly what the Retro 30 is ... so I'd say go for it.
