70's Bandmaster 2x12 cabinet

I currnetly have a vintage early 70's bandmaster 2x12 cabinet with oxford speakers. I am not fond of the oxford speakers and find them to be boxy/muddy sounding in the MASSIVE 2x12 cabinet. I play between an Orange Duel Terror and a Rockerverb 50 MKII. Any suggestions
Yea, the oxfords are indeed usually quite boxy/muddy sounding ... and probably start to breakup & fart out too early, too I suspect.
The obvious choice would be G12's ... but I get the feeling you ain't after classic Jensen/Fender tone.
If ya wanta make that big box sound like a good old Marshall cab, go with a pair of Invaders.
For ultimate flexibility, go ET65/Retro 30 or 65/Vet 30.
