So i got a new EVH 5150 III and now i want to get my marshall 1960a cab to more closely emulate the 5150 iii cab thats matched to the head. I know the matched cab has celestion EVH's in it, there supposed to be more like the 1960's era green backs. I want to shape the tone a little though. I play modern metalcore type of stuff with alot of high distortion on ringing chords (not power chords) and desire clarity most of all but a nice bottom end is a plus (i like my g12-75's for there bottom end). So what would be some good suggestions. Replace the two top speakers with green barets?
