Long time listener, first time caller.  I have done some searching, but didn't quite hit on enough answers.

I'm likely going to be purchasing a whitebox 2x12 cab.  My amp is a Roccaforte Custom 80 - an insanely loud rock amp.

As I understand it, I'll likely need to be looking at speakers close to 80 watts each in order to make sure that I don't blow anything up.  This amp is a beast.

I know that with higher wattage speakers, tone tends to sound more neutral, which I'm not that big a fan of.  I'm a 70's rock kind of guy, so I like warm and punchy.

I'm thinking that under these circumastances, the Liberator seems to stand out.  Any opinions as to whether I should go with 2 Liberators, or might there be some benefit to pairing a Liberator (mid heavy) with something like an HM75 (less mid heavy)?  Any other pairings to consider that are higher wattage?  Thanks.

Good stuff here!  I will say that as far as "with higher wattage speakers, tone tends to sound more neutral" isn't always the case ... our ET-65 is a fairly high-power speaker that certainly breaks this rule ... with the trade-off being that it's a medium-magnet speaker without stupidly-high SPL (efficiency) ratings!

"I'm a 70's rock kind of guy, so I like warm and punchy."

To me ... that would be an ET90 & a Invader ... but could be an ET90 & Liberator!
