Please forgive me for this, but how do I hook up my new WGS speaker to an output/input jack? my buddy(a woodworker) built me a beautiful cabinet for my new speaker and now I need to hook it up to a jack, so I can use it. Does the positive go to the tip of the jack? What gauge wire should I use for the connection? please help. I don't want to hurt my amp. Thank you in advance.

Yes, positive to the tip and negative to sleeve is what it normally done!

Within the cab any wire bigger than about 18-gauge is fine. Too small isn't good ... but if you go to big (like 12 or 10-gauge) it gets hard to work with.
