I am looking for a speaker replacement for my Marshall DSL40C. I searched the forum and the recommendation was a vet30. However I currently have a vintage 30 in it and am looking to change up the sound, so not looking for a vet30. I have a few cabs with them already in them and while I do like the sound, I am looking for something new.
What would you recommend for something different? Looking for a thick rhythm crunch sound but not too muddy. Also something that is pretty good at lead guitar without sounding shrill. I mostly play hard rock like Pearl Jam/Soundgarden/Foo Fighters etc.
I noticed a lot of people recommend the Celestion 65 creamback for this amp, is there an equivalent WGS model or something close? Or is that going in the wrong direction for the tone I am after?
Thanks!
