The cabs:

1. Marshall 1960A with four G12T-75 speakers (wired at 16 ohms)

2. Stone Age 2x12C with one WGS Invader and one Celestion Greenback (wired at 8 ohms)

Additional speakers available to use (all are 16 ohms):

1. WGS ET65

2. Mojotone BV-30H (like a G12H-30)

3. Two Celestion Vintage 30s

The amp:  Granger M50 Plexi

Right now the amp soungs great with my Stone Age cab.  It sounds pretty good with the 1960A cab, but the Stone Age is better.

But what if I were to put the Greenback, the Invader, and two of my other speakers in the 1960A?  What combinations are like;y to be killer?

Oh, and personally I would never mix more than 2 kinds of speakers. It would drive me crazy trying to figure out why/how it did/didn't sound good. I'm curious about your ET65/Vet30 combo.. Intuitively seems like a good higher-powered speaker match

My favorite WGS set up with my '71 JMP is a 'Bluesbreaker' cab with two Reapers. I tried Invaders in it, and they are stellar in their way, but I really like the breakup and richness of the Reapers when pushed. When I use the JMP with a 4x12 I have a huge old 80s Fender(!) cab with two greenbacks (yeah, Celestions) and two Reaper 55s. Deep, blooming lows and punchy warm mids. Never was able to get a good mix with V30s, somehow. Always trying to dial back the upper mids at the expense of the other speakers, I guess.
