I’m going to be putting my Blues Jr into a custom pine cab and am thinking about running 2 X 10" Veteran - 20 Watts. The Blues Jr is 15 watts so I’m assuming that would be fine. But if there are any problems I should be aware of let me know. Also, the amp is 8 ohms, so I should run 2 16 ohm speakers in parallel, correct?
I’m new to this so I just want to be sure so I don’t damage my amp.
Thanks for your advice!
One of my best buddies has traveled the world gigging with his "Pro Senior" ... a Pro Junior in a custom Newell cab w/ 2-10s ... and it sounds excellent!
At two tens ... and with the BJ ... I would probably say tour BEST tone will come from a G10C and a G10C/S. It will have EVERYTHING.
The two Vet 10s might disappoint you a little ... I love them in gangs of 4 (even three) ... but they just don't deliver the goods in a "keep up with a drummer" kind of way with only one or two. Now, if what you are looking for is manageable volume and somewhat early and organic breakup ... then go with the Vet 10s.
