Fender has come out with another "winner" in it's pawn shop series. Played through one a few days ago, and now that GC has them on the cheap, I'll be picking one up. The speakers they have it it are somewhat "iffy", however.
Any suggestions on which two 10" would match up well with the tubes? Will probably be playing surf rythm and country lead through it for the "quiet" shows.
Holy crap I LOVE that name ... but haven't even HEARD about the amps yet!
Thanks for bringing them to my attention ... when I get a chance to check them out, I'll post back here with some suggestions!
You better hurry, because they've just been discontinued. Guitar Center is blowing out their stock at $229. Once they're gone, that's it.
I love my Vaporizor. I've had it since they've been out. I'm a rhythm player in a Punkish, Hard Rockish, Western band. I liked the break up where it was at already, but I still wanted more clarity. I decided on the Vet 10s. So glad I did! I can dime the volume on my Tele and Gretsch Streamliner and the Vaporizor and still get great articulation. Even in the neck position! I can go from the sparkle of Conway's I See the Want to in Your Eyes to the thunder of the Beatles' Come Together.
I researched speaker upgrades for years on this amp. When I'm jamming with the band, I wish I decided a long time ago. These speakers are perfect FOR ME and what I play! I will certainly go WGS for speaker upgrades. And without wasting so much time the next time around!
Cool, thanks for that report!! I would imagine that two G10C in there would be even more of all that same stuff, plus a LOT LOUDER (& more heavy)... -Vaughn-
