Hey guys,

I just wanted to post this as more of a thank you for making great speakers. I have a Marshall 1960a cab that had Celestion Vintage 30s and G12T75s in an X pattern and I use a Mesa Mark iv head. There was the infamouse upper mid spike shrillness that drove me freaking crazy. The Mesa already has a pretty pronounced midrange itself. Those two together just made for a bad listening experiance. It made my very expensive amp sound unbearable at different volumes. I started tube rolling the preamp section and got some good results but I knew I just didnt like the Vintage 30s with my mesa. I know some call that sacrilidge but it wasnt working out. So on a quest to find my tone I stumbled uppon WGS for an option. I liked the decription of the Veteran 30s, watched some youtube clips that I could, and took a chance on ordering a couple. I replaced the vintage 30s with the Veterans, broke them in via playing some NIN on loop on my Ipod to my amp for 8+ hours while at work and then gave them a listen.

HOLY CRAP! ive found what Ive been missing. The tones coming out of the barely broken in speakers were phenominal! The Veterans sound so smooth and round while still giving me that tight percussive chug that that I like. I will never EVER again play a Vintage 30. Im so amazed at what a simple speaker swap has done to unleash the beast inside my mark iv! You guys nailed it with the voicing of the Veteran 30. Im so impressed I may swap out my Celestion G12T75s for your version also! I play mostly heavy detuned rock/metal/doom/sludge but the clean tones when rolling back the volume knob or just playing on the clean channel sparkle so well too. It is truly a wonderful speaker.

So, I just want to say, if you like a Vintage 30, do yourself a favor and sell it to buy a Veteran 30. Dont even think about it. Just do it. I wish I would have found out sooner because Im a full convert!
