Just put some a ET65 and Veteran 30 in my Tech 21 Amp and love them 100% better than the stock Celestion Seventy 80's.

Now I need a great speaker for for my Twin it has Celestion Vintage 30's in it now. It has the Rock tones but lost all it's Fender Sparkle. I was thinking of a pair of ET65's but not sure, I have changed speakers in this amp 3 times already it came with Gauss speakers then I used EV's and now the Vintage 30's.

Would appreciate any help in selecting the right speakers for my Twin, I love my new ET65's and Veteran 30 mix for my Tech 21 great job guys.

Those are a bit tougher to fix than most Fenders ... suffering from way too much negative feedback and those ultra-linier transformers ... they are quite stiff, sterile, and hard sounding.  Doing blackface mods on the amp will be the real solution ... but speakerwise, be looking for something that will fight the stiff & sterile nature of the amp with warm, nimble, and touch-sensitivity.  To fix it's tonal woes, but still keep it sounding like a Fender, I would probably go with a G12A and a G12C/S  If you can't swing the AlNiCo, the ceramic G12C will give you about 95% of the G12A's cool for a quarter the price.

As far as I read it's quite impossible to mod an ultralinear Twin to Blackface wihtout exchanging almost everything. Then you'd more likely exchange the amp itself. But to come back to the Speakers as I too want to swap them in miy Twin. For the older Twin you always recommend the ET65 but these are too weak here, right? What about the ET90 would they do a good job too? Thanks for advice..

No ... I would certainly still recommend a pair of ET65s for you ... as they will help "DE-stearilize" an UL twin more than anything else!
